Important to know:
Enhanced Sync is a feature unique to mapping Booking.com.
Enhanced Sync must be enabled to use its features described in this article. To enable Enhanced Sync, go to Distribution > Channels > Booking.com > then in the Enhanced Sync tab, click Enable.
Introduction to mapping to Booking.com
To map to Booking.com following the standard process, follow the steps outlined in the article titled ‘Map your room rates to a channel’.
Alternatively, you can enable the Enhanced Sync feature which allows you to easily map, create, update, manage and delete room types and room rates on Booking.com directly via your SiteMinder platform.
Enhanced Sync
When Enhanced Sync is enabled, your room type and room rate updates will be centrally managed via your platform (in Rooms and Rates > Room types).
You will not need to log in to the Booking.com extranet to manage your room types or room rates, saving you time and reducing the need for manual and duplicate tasks on the channel’s extranet.
The below settings will be configured in our platform and synced to Booking.com:

Inclusions (i.e. breakfast)

Enable Enhanced Sync
To enable Enhanced Sync, go to Distribution > Channels > Booking.com > then in the Enhanced Sync tab, click Enable.
Once Enhanced Sync is enabled, room types and room rates for Booking.com will be managed on our platform; if an update to the synced room type is made on the Booking.com extranet, any changes will be overwritten by the data on our platform.
Note:
If you have previously mapped room rates to Booking.com, when enabling Enhanced Sync, you will be guided through steps to confirm mapping and resolve any room type and mapping inconsistencies.
If you do not have any room rates currently mapped to Booking.com, you can proceed to the steps below to create new room types on Booking.com.
Enhanced Sync: create new room types on Booking.com
Create a new room type on Booking.com via your platform and sync its details to Booking.com.
To do this, follow these steps:
Go to the Room types mapping tab.
On an existing room type that is not yet mapped to Booking.com, click Map to Booking.com.
In the Mapped to drop-down, select Create a new room type on Booking.com.
Update the relevant details in Channel room type configuration.
Click Save.
The room type will now be created on Booking.com and the room type will be managed via your SiteMinder platform.
To map a room type to an existing (but unmapped) room type on Booking.com, in the Mapped to drop-down, rather than creating a new room type, select an existing room type that is already created on Booking.com.
Enhanced Sync: create new room rates on Booking.com
Create a new room rate on Booking.com via the SiteMinder platform.
To do this, follow these steps:
Go to Distribution > Channels > Booking.com.
Go to the Room rates mapping tab.
On an existing room rate that is not yet mapped to Booking.com, click Map to Booking.com.
In the Mapped to drop-down, select Create a new room rate on Booking.com.
Update the relevant details in Channel rate configuration.
Click Save.
The room rate will now be mapped to Booking.com and the room rate will be managed via your SiteMinder platform
Note:
When mapping a room rate to Booking.com, if the room rate’s rate plan has been previously mapped to Booking.com, our system will automatically check whether there is a matching room rate on the channel. If a matching room rate is found, the Mapped to drop-down will be pre-filled.
If no matching room rate was found on the channel, our system will prompt you to create a new room rate on the channel.
Manage Mapped room types and room rates
Rate plan mapping is automatically established during room rate mapping; there is no need to map rate plans separately.
You can manage Mapped room types, room rates/rate plans in the relevant tab (Room rates mapping, Rate plans mapping, Room types mapping):
Configure — configure the Channel Settings and select Yes / No to Start updating the channel. This controls the synchronisation of updates to Booking.com.
Disconnect from channel — disconnect the room type/room rate/rate plan and all associated rates from Booking.com. The updates from our platform will no longer be synced to Booking.com, however, the room type/rate plan and its rates will still be listed on Booking.com — if you want to remove them, please do so via the Booking.com extranet.
Delete from channel — delete the room type/room rate/rate plan and all of its associated rates from Booking.com.
Channel settings
To configure the following channel settings for Booking.com, go to Distribution > Channels > Booking.com > Channel settings:
General settings — your property’s Hotel ID (read-only field).
Advanced settings — select Yes / No to Use length of stay on arrival.
Enhanced Sync — turn the toggle on to automatically update the channel’s rooms and rates when changes are made in your SiteMinder platform.
Disable connection to Booking.com — click this button to disconnect the channel from your SiteMinder platform.
