How to update your rates, availability and restrictions in the inventory grid.

About the inventory grid

Update rates, availability, and restrictions (stop sell, minimum and maximum length of stay, closed to arrival; CTA, closed to departure; CTD) in the inventory grid.

The inventory grid allows you to manage your room pricing and availability across all your connected channels from one place.

Go to Distribution > Inventory to access the inventory grid.

For ad-hoc updates, simply update each cell individually in the inventory grid, or use the Copy tool. For bulk updates, you can either use the Bulk update button or the lightning button.

⚠️ If you use a PMS, CRS, or RMS: Make all inventory updates in your connected system, not in the inventory grid. Manual updates will be overwritten by your connected system. If this happens, perform a push or resync in your system to restore correct values.

💡 Note: Derived rates appear greyed out in the inventory grid because they cannot be manually changed. When you update a base rate, all its derived rates will update automatically according to their configured rules.

Bulk update rates, availability or restrictions

Use bulk updates to change rates, availability, or restrictions across multiple dates, room rates, and channels at once.

To make a bulk update:

  1. Go to Distribution > Inventory.

  2. Click on the Bulk update button.

  3. In the Set drop-down menu, select the inventory you want to update (for example rates, availability, or restrictions such as stop sell or minimum length of stay).

  4. In the To field, set what the new rate, availability, or restriction should be (for example, enter the new rate, or enable or disable the stop sell).

  5. Select a Date range. To select more than one range, click on the Add another date range button.

  6. Select which days of the week the update should apply to.

  7. Tick the room types, room rates or channel rates you want to update.

  8. Tick the channels that you want to update in the Channels column.

  9. Click Save.

Update one rate, availability or restriction across multiple dates

Use the lightning button to quickly update one room type, room rate or channel rate across multiple dates:

  1. Go to Distribution > Inventory.

  2. Find the inventory and date you want to change and click on the lightning button (for example if you want to change the availability for your "Double room type", click on the lightning button next to the availability for this room type).

  3. In the Quick bulk update window, set the new rate, availability or restriction.

  4. Select the date range and what days of the week the update should apply to.

  5. Click Save.

💡 Note: Some channels don't support all inventory updates. If a channel doesn't support certain restrictions (like closed to arrival or closed to departure), you'll need to set these restrictions directly in the channel's extranet.

Copy rates, availability and restrictions to other rates

Use the Copy tool to copy rates, availability, and restrictions to other rates across multiple dates.

  1. Go to Distribution > Inventory.

  2. Click on the current value you want to change and enter a new value.

  3. Click on the Copy button and select the update you want to make (for example, Copy across, or Apply rate row to other rates).

  4. Click Save.

With the Copy tool in the Inventory grid you can:

  • Copy [update] across — copy availability, rates or restrictions across the row for multiple dates.

  • Copy availability to other rooms — copy availability to all other room types for the date.

  • Apply selected [update] to other rates — apply rates or restrictions to other room rates or channel rates that belong to the same room type/room rate.

  • Apply [update] row to other rates — copy the entire row of the rate or restriction to other room rates or channel rates that belong to the same room type/room rate.

💡 Copy tool in Rooms and rates > Rate plans: You can also use the copy tool in Rooms and rates > Rate plans to copy rate, availability, and restrictions from one channel rate to another (for mapped rates).
