💡 Important to know:

  • To connect iHotelier to our platform, you need an iHotelier account — if you do not have one, go to iHotelier’s website to create an account and set up your property before proceeding.

iHotelier’s unique features

Configure the below settings on iHotelier’s Channel settings tab.

Process reservations by room type

iHotelier sends a room code and a rate code to the SiteMinder platform for every reservation, which identifies the reservation’s room rate.

You can choose how to process iHotelier reservations:

  • If Process reservations by room type is set to Yes — iHotelier’s reservations will be processed using both the room code and the rate code. If our platform cannot locate both codes, the reservation will be processed using the room code only, and a random rate code will be generated. If you have a connectivity integration, our platform will send the reservation to your connected integration with the applicable room code and rate code .

  • If Process reservations by room type is set to No — iHotelier’s reservations will only be processed by our platform when it can match both the room code and rate code sent from iHotelier. If one of the codes doesn’t match with the channel’s mapped room rates, our system will not be able to process the reservation and will send you a notification to fix the mapping and apply manual inventory changes.

💡 The terms ‘connectivity’ or ‘integration’ are used to refer to property management systems (PMS), central reservations systems (CRS), or revenue management systems (RMS).

iHotelier mapping features

Configure the below settings when mapping iHotelier.

Set up a Double rate modifier

The Double rate modifier changes the rate (increase or decrease) when the rate is booked for two guests. If you choose to add a Double rate modifier , make sure the room rate you are mapping is for one person (a single-use room rate). The amount you enter will be added to the prices entered in your Inventory grid for this room rate, and the total will be set as the double rate in iHotelier.

➕ For example, if you set the Double rate modifier as 5 and the price for this room is 100, our platform will send the double rate as 105 to the channel — the price guests will pay for the single room for two guests.

Set up a Restriction level

⚠️ We recommend setting the same level of restrictions for all your mapped room rates.

You can set restrictions for your mapped room rates on different levels, as explained below.

Room

If the restriction level is set to Room , restrictions will be applied to the room type, and all associated room rates.

Room rate

If the restriction level is set to Room rate , restrictions will only apply to the mapped room rate. We recommend using the Room rate restriction level, as this is how channels usually receive restrictions.

Rate

If the restriction level is set to Rate , restrictions will be applied to any room rate associated with the rate plan you set the restriction for, based on the rate code in your channel.

➕ For example:

  • You offer a ‘Non-refundable’ rate plan for your ‘Single’ and ‘Double’ rooms. So you have two room rates: ‘Single non-refundable’ and ‘Double non-refundable’.

  • You set a stop sell on your ‘Single non-refundable’.

  • iHotelier will receive a stop sell for the ‘Non-refundable’ rate plan, affecting all the ‘Non-refundable’ room rates of both the ‘Double’ and ‘Single’ rooms.
