Connect to iHotelier

Before connecting to iHotelier, you will need to:

  • Have an iHotelier account and set up your property in iHotelier.

  • Create rooms and rates in iHotelier’s extranet, to match the set up in your SiteMinder platform.

To connect to iHotelier:

  1. Log into your iHotelier extranet. Request an XML connection with SiteMinder. Take note of the Property code (also called “hotel ID”) that iHotelier has assigned to your property.

  2. In your SiteMinder platform, go to Distribution > Channels find and click on iHotelier > follow the steps to connect.

  3. Once you confirm and click Connect, please wait 24 hours for our support team to confirm the connection with iHotelier.

Update iHotelier channel settings

Once the connection with iHotelier is confirmed and activated, you can update the channel settings in Distribution > Channels > find iHotelier and click on the ellipsis button (three dots button) > select Update channel settings.

iHotelier supports the following channel settings:

  • Rate multiplier

  • Process reservations by room — choose how to process iHotelier reservations. If Process reservations by room is set to “Yes”, only the room code of received reservations will be used to process bookings. If set to “No”, reservations will be processed using both the room and rate code.

Map to iHotelier

To map your room rates to iHotelier:

  1. Go to Distribution > Channels > find iHotelier and click on the ellipsis button (three dots button) > select Edit room rates mapping which will take you to the Room rates mapping page.

  2. Click Map to iHotelier on the channel manager room rate you want to map.

  3. Configure the settings for the channel rate.

  4. If needed, configure settings specific to iHotelier: double rate modifier, and restriction level.

  5. Click Save.

Additional channel rate configuration settings (Double rate modifier and Restriction level) are available when mapping to iHotelier:

Double rate modifier — specify an amount that will be added to the rate in your Inventory grid. The total amount will be set as the double rate for iHotelier (when the room is booked for two people). For example, if you set the Double rate modifier to 5, and the rate for this room is 100, iHotelier’s double rate will be 105.

Restriction level — specify the level at which restrictions are managed by entering “Room” (restrictions will apply to all room rates assigned to the room type), “Rate” (restrictions will apply to all room rates linked to the rate plan), or “RoomRate” (restrictions will only apply to the room rate).

For example:

  • You offer a ‘Non-refundable’ rate plan for your ‘Single’ and ‘Double’ rooms. So you have two room rates: ‘Single non-refundable’ and ‘Double non-refundable’.

  • You set the iHotelier’s channel rate Restriction level to “Rate”.

  • You set a stop sell on your ‘Single non-refundable’.

  • iHotelier will receive a stop sell for the ‘Non-refundable’ rate plan, affecting all the ‘Non-refundable’ room rates of both the ‘Double’ and ‘Single’ rooms.

Enable iHotelier

Once you have mapped all required room rates and checked that availability, rates, and restrictions are correct, enable iHotelier to start sending inventory updates.

To enable iHotelier, go to Distribution > Channels > find iHotelier and click on the ellipsis button (three dots button) > select Update channel settings > click the “Enable the connection to iHotelier” button.
