About the SynXis channel
SynXis is a channel (OTA) you can connect to in your SiteMinder platform.
SynXis has a maximum inventory update period of 372 days
By default, the Minimum stay and Maximum stay will be sent to SynXis as “on arrival” instead of “stay through”
SynXis rate plans have a field called "PMS code" in the SynXis extranet. This is a code field used inside SynXis for mapping
Connect
Before connecting
Before connecting to SynXis, you will need to:
Have a SynXis account and set up your property in SynXis
Create rooms and rates in SynXis’s extranet, to match the set up in your SiteMinder platform
How to connect
To connect to SynXis:
Contact your SynXis account manager to request an XML connection with SiteMinder. SynXis will enable the connection and provide SiteMinder with XML credentials, property code, and the default currency in SynXis.
In your SiteMinder platform, go to Distribution > Channels > find and click on SynXis > follow the steps to connect.
⚠️ The XML credentials are different to your SynXis login details.
SynXis channel settings
Once the connection with SynXis is activated, you can update the channel settings:
Go to Distribution > Channels > find SynXis
Click the ellipsis button (three dots button) next to SynXis > select Update channel settings.
Make required changes and click Save.
SynXis supports the following channel settings:
Rate multiplier
Enterprise hotel
Process reservations by Room Code
Use min stay through
Enterprise hotel
If your hotel is classified as an enterprise hotel in SynXis, select "Yes" to Enterprise hotel in SynXis channel settings.
Process reservations by Room Code
The Process reservations by room code channel setting determines how reservations are handled when room rates in SynXis don't exactly match what's mapped in your SiteMinder platform.
If enabled: A reservation is confirmed only when both the room code and rate plan match. If there is no exact match, the reservation is not processed and you handle it manually.
If disabled: SiteMinder first tries to match on room code and rate plan. If there is no exact match, it uses your fallback. If no fallback is set, it selects the first available room. This helps reservations process even when not all rate plans are mapped.
To set a Reservation mapping fallback for a channel rate:
Go to Distribution > Channels.
Click the ellipsis button (three dots button) for SynXis.
Select Edit room rates mapping.
Click the channel rate and select Configure.
Set the Reservation mapping fallback option.
Click Save.
Use min stay through
The Use min stay through setting controls which type of minimum stay SiteMinder sends to SynXis:
Set to Yes: Sends Minimum stay through. Set in channel settings. When stay dates have different minimum stay values, the greater value applies to the booking
Set to No: Sends Minimum stay on arrival. Set in the inventory. The minimum stay is defined by the check-in date's value
➕ Example: Minimum stay through (set to Yes)
A guest books via SynXis for 15–17 August. A minimum stay through value of 3 nights applies on 15 and 16 August. Because the 3-night rule applies to the reservation, the guest must add a third night to complete the booking.
➕ Example: Minimum stay on arrival (set to No)
A guest books via SynXis for 15–17 August. There is a minimum stay on arrival value of 2 nights on 15 August and 3 nights on 16 August. Because the minimum stay is defined by the check-in date, the two-night stay is allowed.

Troubleshoot SynXis mapping issues
Why can't I find my SynXis channel rate in the dropdown menu?
Duplicate PMS codes in your SynXis extranet stop channel rates from appearing in the mapping dropdown. This shows up in two ways:
A SynXis channel rate is missing from the dropdown when you map.
Some rooms disappear from the room list after you map the first one.
When two rate plans share the same PMS code, SiteMinder cannot display those channel rates for mapping. (The "PMS code" is a field on each SynXis rate plan.)
To fix this, assign a unique PMS code to each rate plan in SynXis.
How do I fix duplicate PMS codes in SynXis?
To update PMS codes yourself in the SynXis extranet:
Log in to the SynXis extranet using your property's credentials.
Go to Setup > Rates > Rate Configuration.
Click to edit the rate plan you want to check.
Review the PMS code and confirm it is not duplicated by another rate plan.
Update the PMS code to make it unique.
Click Save.
Repeat for any other rate plans with duplicate PMS codes.
Once all PMS codes are unique, return to the mapping dropdown. All SynXis channel rates should now appear correctly.
💡 If you need help, contact SynXis support directly. Ask them to assign a unique PMS code to each rate plan. Once SynXis confirms the changes, the rates will appear in the mapping dropdown.
