Update your property policies

Add and update your property’s policies: check-in and check-out times, smoking policy, and terms, conditions and privacy policy.

Updated yesterday

Your Policies — found in Property settings > Policies — include check-in and check-out times, smoking policy, and terms and conditions. These settings help guests understand your property's rules before booking.

To manage your property's policies, click on your property name in the top navigation bar > Property settings > Policies.

Check-in and check-out times

💡 Check-in and check-out times apply to Direct booking and Channels Plus, and may also be shared with channels that support content sync, such as Airbnb.

Add your check-in time (for example, 2 PM), and check-out time (for example, 10 AM).

Enable the Restricted check-in and check-out times toggle to specify time windows when guests can arrive and depart. This is useful if your front desk staff is only available at specific times.

For restricted check-in:

  • Set a start time and end time — for example, guests can check in from 2 PM but no later than 5 PM

For restricted check-out:

  • Set a start time and end time — for example, guests can check out from 8 AM but no later than 10 AM

Smoking policy

💡 Your smoking policy only applies to Direct booking.

Select one of these options to help guests understand your smoking rules:

  • Smoke-free property — no smoking anywhere on the property

  • Non-smoking rooms — specific rooms where smoking is not allowed

  • All public areas non-smoking — smoking not allowed in common areas, but permitted in designated smoking rooms

Terms, conditions and privacy policy

💡 Your property's Terms, conditions and privacy policy only applies to Direct booking.

Guests must agree to these terms to complete a booking on your booking engine:

  • Terms and conditions — detail your property's rules and restrictions. Keep them simple and clear to ensure guests read and understand them. A straightforward list of dos and don'ts works well.

  • Privacy policy — explain how you gather, use, and manage customer data. Customers will see this when selecting cookie preferences on your booking engine. Keep it concise.

💡 Note: Add translations for your booking engine’s Terms, conditions and privacy policy in Direct Booking > Configuration > Translations > Property settings.
