Where to set minimum rate
You can set a minimum rates in two places:
Property-wide minimum rate: Set a minimum rate that applies to all room rates in your property
Individual room rate minimum: Override the property-wide minimum for a specific room rate
About property minimum rate
When you set a minimum rate for your property (in Property settings), room rates cannot be set below that value. This applies to:
All room rates in your SiteMinder platform
Rates distributed to your connected channels
Rate adjustments from discounts in your SiteMinder platform
You can override the property minimum rate for a specific room rate if needed (Rooms and rates > Rate plans).
💡 Note: If channels apply their own discounts or promotions directly, these will override your minimum rate setting, as they are managed outside of your SiteMinder platform. If you manage promotions directly in your channels, set up minimum rates in your channels too.
Channel rates are adjusted and applied after the minimum rate is set (for example, any adjustments for Currency conversion, Rate multiplier, Single guest discount, Occupancy based pricing).
For derived rates with discounts (such as discounted non-refundable rates), the minimum rate will override any prices that fall below it.
💡 You can override the property minimum rate for a specific room rate if needed.
