Assign and manage property users in Multi-Property

Assign users to specific properties in your Multi-Property portfolio and manage what they can access.

Add and manage property users in Multi-Property to control which properties a user can access in your group portfolio. Unlike Multi-Property users (created via Multi-Property > Admin > Multi-Property Users), property users only have access to the specific properties you assign them to.

Add a property user to a specific property

To add a new property user to a specific property in Multi-Property:

  1. Go to Multi-Property > Properties > Users tab.

  2. Click the ellipsis button (three dots button) > New user.

  3. Enter the user's e-mail address.

  4. Enter their details to create their account.

The new property user will receive an activation e-mail to complete their account setup.

💡 Adding/assigning a property user to a property gives them access to that property in Multi-Property and the SiteMinder platform, including access to guest payment and contact details in the SiteMinder platform (MFA required to access). Users with User Management permissions can edit and manage property-level user permissions in the SiteMinder platform via User management.

💡 Property users can also be created in the property’s SiteMinder platform via User management (must have User Management permissions).

Set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

When setting up your account, you are required to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). MFA is also required to access protected guest details, including guest contact details and guest payment card details.

To set up or reset your MFA:

  1. Log in to the SiteMinder platform.

  2. Click your profile icon.

  3. Select My account.

  4. Select Set up MFA or Reset MFA.

Assign specific properties to a property user

To assign specific properties to a property user in Multi-Property:

  1. Go to Multi-Property > Properties > Users tab.

  2. Click on a user.

  3. Click the ellipsis button (three dots button) > Assign properties.

  4. Select which properties the user can access.

Manage property-level permissions for a property user

Property-level permissions for property users are managed via User management in the SiteMinder platform. To update a user's permissions for a specific property, a user with User Management permissions at that property must do this via the SiteMinder platform.

Edit or delete a property user in Multi-Property

To edit or delete a property user in Multi-Property:

  1. Go to Multi-Property > Properties > Users tab.

  2. Click on a user.

  3. Click the Config tab.

  4. To edit the user, click the Edit button.

  5. To delete the user, click the ellipsis button (three dots button) > Delete user.

⚠️ Deleted users cannot be recovered.
