Booking.com reservation email notifications

Reservation email notifications are sent to your email address in: Distribution > Channels > Booking.com > Channel settings

Your property will receive email notifications when reservations are:

  • Created

  • Modified

  • Cancelled via Booking.com

💡 Booking.com also emails guests directly about their reservations.

Booking.com Pricing Models

Booking.com supports two pricing models:

  • Standard pricing (Per day pricing; PDP)

  • Occupancy-based pricing (OBP)

To change your pricing model on Booking.com, contact Booking.com directly, or contact our support team who can coordinate the change with Booking.com on your behalf.

Once the pricing model changes on Booking.com, your SiteMinder platform automatically detects the change and updates your SiteMinder pricing model to match. You do not need to contact our support team again to update this from PDP or OBP.

Your SiteMinder platform checks for the update automatically when you go to Distribution > Channels > Booking.com > Channel settings or Room rates mapping page.

⚠️ Updating your rate configuration after changing pricing model

  • After the pricing model changes, your existing rate setup fields are updated to reflect the new model, but you must manually configure and review the channel rate configuration. For example, if changing to OBP, add Included occupancy and Extra adult rate, Max occupancy, Extra adult rates, Single guest discount

  • The channel rate configuration must match what is set up in the channel extranet. If there are configuration conflicts, the rate may become automatically disabled

OBP Mapping Settings

When using OBP for Booking.com, you must enter additional information in the Occupancy details section while mapping. These settings are inherited by default from the room rate and require clicking each lock to override them:

  • Included occupancy: The number of guests included in the rate set on your inventory

  • Maximum occupancy: The maximum number of guests who can stay in the room

  • Extra adult rate: The amount charged for each extra guest

  • Single guest discount: Tthis option is for one-person reservations (This feature will not be available if our platform has been enabled for Occupancy-Based Pricing, whereas Booking.com has not)
