REQUESTING A GDS NEGOTIATED RATE TO BE LOADED

The following process applies every time you wish to request a new Negotiated Rate type to be loaded on the GDS via GDS by SiteMinder.

Information Required (prior to logging a request)

Please ask the company / agency with whom you have contracted or negotiated this rate for their GDS Rate Loading Instructions. We require these in order to ensure the rate is correctly loaded and viewable only by the intended party.

How to log the request

As of 01/Sep/2020, all rate loading requests must be submitted using the new GDS by SiteMinder Rate Loading Form.

Actions taken by GDS by SiteMinder

Based on the information provided in your submission, we will:

  • create the rate type on your GDS by SiteMinder extranet with all of the details, inclusions and policies you've supplied.

  • complete the loading of the rate on each applicable GDS under the provided Rate Access Codes.

We will confirm to you once the rate loading is complete and the rate is available for you to map on The Channel Manager.

Actions required by you (the property)

Please ensure that you have created the new negotiated rate type on the Channel Manager and your PMS (if integrated), so that it can be mapped as soon as the loading on the GDS side is complete.

Channel Manager only (not PMS integrated)

Steps to take:

(1) Create the rate plan on the Channel Manager.
(2) Ensure that you have updated on the Chanel Manager all the prices and any restrictions for this rate, in accordance with your agreement with the company.

(Once you've received confirmation from the team that the rate has been loaded on the GDS side)

(3) Map the rates from the Channel Manager to GDS by SiteMinder, so that inventory updates are pushed through and the rate is bookable on the GDS.

Channel Manager & PMS integrated

Steps to take:

(1) Create the rate plan on your PMS.
(2) Ensure that you have updated on your PMS all the prices and any restrictions for this rate, in accordance with your agreement with the company.
(3) Create the rate plan on the Channel Manager.
(4) Map the rate on the PMS tab of your Channel Manager (to ensure inventory updates and reservation delivery will work correctly).

(Once you 've received confirmation from the team that the rate has been loaded on the GDS side)

(5) Map the rates from the Channel Manager to GDS by SiteMinder, so that inventory updates are pushed through and the rate is bookable on the GDS.
