How to check if a stop sell is triggered by a yield rule

Updated this week

To confirm whether a stop sell in your inventory was applied by a yield rule:

Step 1: Check for stop sell indicators in the inventory grid

  1. Go to Distribution > Inventory.

  2. Locate the room type.

  3. Next to the rate plan name, click the connections label (for example, 3 connections).

  4. Click the Rates label and select Stop sell.

If the rate cells appear as dark orange/yellow with a triangle in the corner, a stop sell has been applied. This can be caused by a yield rule, a release period restriction, or a manual stop sell. You will need to check additional settings to confirm the cause.

Step 2: Check for a release period restriction

  1. Go to Rooms and rates > Rate plans.

  2. Click the arrow next to the rate plan name to expand the room list.

  3. Click the room name, then select Edit.

  4. In the panel that opens, check the Release period field.

If there is a value in the Release period field, the stop sell is caused by the release period restriction, not a yield rule. If the Release period field is empty, the stop sell was triggered by a yield rule.
