💡 To create and manage your yield rules (rules to apply an automatic closure, selling limit, or availability limit), go to Distribution > Yield rules.
About yield rules
Yield rules allow you to control the availability and set selling limits of your rooms and rates across your distribution channels (OTAs) and your direct booking engine Yield rules can be useful during periods of high demand.
You can create the following yield rules and target them to specific room types, rate plans, channels, and dates:
Automatic closure — stop selling certain room types or room rates when availability reaches a set number.
Selling limit — stop selling a rate plan when it has been sold a set number of times.
Availability limit (amount or percentage) – limit the availability of certain room types on selected channels.
How to set up yield rules
To set up yield rules (an automatic closure, selling limit, or availability limit):
Go to Distribution > Yield rules.
Click on the Add yield rule button.
Select the yield rule type (automatic closure, selling limit, or availability limit - amount or percentage).
Add the Rule name — for internal reference only.
Add the availability/selling limit and select the rate plans/room types, and channels the rule will apply to. For example, set the limit to trigger a stop sell when a room type, room rate, or rate plan has been sold this set amount of times, or limit the availability of certain room types on particular channels at any given time.
Set applicable dates for the rule to apply. You can set all dates or selected dates and/or days of the week.
Click Save.
💡 Note:
If you want to delete a rate plan or room type that is linked to a yield rule, you will first need to remove the rate plan from the yield rule.
