Reservations for disabled channel rates

How to identify, fix, and re-enable disabled channel rates that have stopped sending ARI to your channels.

Updated yesterday

What happens when a channel rate is disabled?

When a channel rate is disabled:

  • Your platform stops sending availability, rates, and restrictions (ARI) updates to the channel

  • Reservations for the disabled rate are still processed in your platform and sent to your PMS/RMS/CRS

  • Reservations for the disabled rate reduce your available inventory in your platform, but the updated availability won't sync to the channel until you re-enable the rate

You'll receive a notification when a channel rate becomes disabled. To receive these notifications, turn on Distribution notifications in your notification settings.

Check for disabled rates

On your Dashboard:

Under Property status, check:

  • Disabled channel room rates

On the channel's room rates mapping page:

To check for disabled rates:

  1. Go to Distribution > Channels.

  2. Click the ellipsis button (three dots button) next to the channel name.

  3. Select Edit room rates mapping.

  4. Check for any red warning icons on channel rates (disabled rates).

  5. To see all disabled rates, click More filters > under Rate update status, select Disabled.

Fix errors and re-enable disabled rates

When a channel rate is disabled, you need to fix the configuration error, then re-enable the rate. Hover over the disabled icon (red or yellow triangle warning icon) in the mapping list to see the error message.

To fix and re-enable a disabled rate:

  1. Go to Distribution > Channels and find the channel.

  2. Click the ellipsis button (three dots button) next to the channel name.

  3. Select Edit room rates mapping.

  4. Click Configure on the disabled rate.

  5. Read the error message that explains the conflict.

  6. Fix the error.

  7. Set Start updating channel to Yes.

  8. Click Save.

Re-enable a disabled channel connection

If the entire channel connection is disabled (not just individual rates), follow these steps to re-enable it.

To re-enable the connection for a disabled channel:

  1. Go to Distribution > Channels.

  2. Click the ellipsis button (three dots button) next to the disabled channel.

  3. Select Update channel settings.

  4. Click Enable the connection to [channel name].
