What are passkeys?
Passkeys provide secure, password-free access by leveraging the built-in security of your device. To log in, you simply use your device's primary unlock method—such as a fingerprint, face scan, or a physical security key. Once set up, passkeys can also be used to access protected guest details and actions.
Benefits of passkeys:

Better security: Built-in phishing protection and end-to-end encryption
Private: Your biometric data, such as fingerprint or face scan, is stored on your personal device and never shared with us
Who can use passkeys?
Passkeys are available for most desktop devices. To use them, your device just needs a supported security method—such as a fingerprint sensor, face scanner, or a physical security key.
Note: Passkeys are currently only supported on desktop browsers and are not yet available for mobile devices.
Supported desktop versions:
Mac users with macOS Ventura 13 and newer versions
Windows 10 and 11 users (through Windows Hello)
Browser compatibility:
Google Chrome (version 109 or later)
Apple Safari (version 16 or later)
Microsoft Edge (version 109 or later)
Mozilla Firefox (currently with limited support)

How do I set up passkeys?
Important: Before you can create passkeys, you must first set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This ensures you have an authentication method for mobile devices and as a backup if you delete your passkeys. To set up MFA: click your profile icon in the top right corner, navigate to My Account, go to the Security section, and click Setup MFA.
Create Your Passkey
Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
Select My account.
Scroll down to the Passkeys section
Click Create passkey
Enter your current password when prompted to verify your identity
Click Create passkey
Your device will prompt you to create a passkey. The process will vary by device but for most devices you will be prompted to create a passkey using your fingerprint or face scan
How do I login with passkeys?
To log in with passkeys (use your face or fingerprint instead of typing passwords):
Go to the login page
Click Continue with a passkey. No need to enter your email address.
Select your saved passkey from the prompt
Use your device’s unlock method—such as your face, fingerprint, or a physical key—to authenticate and log in
Note: Once passkeys are set up, passkeys can also be used to access protected guest details and actions within the platform, for example, when viewing guest contact details or payment card information.
How Do I Delete My Passkey?
To delete your passkey:
Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
Scroll down to the Passkeys section
Click the trash can icon next to your passkey
Once passkeys are deleted, you will need to use MFA or you can set up a new passkey at any time.
Troubleshooting
Why do I see a "Passkeys aren't supported" error message?
If you are unable to create a passkey because you are seeing the "Passkeys aren't supported" error message:
Ensure your browser and your device's operating system are updated to the latest versions
Check your device hardware: Your device needs to support a secure unlock method—such as a fingerprint scanner, face scan capability, or a physical security key (like a USB key)
Can't see the "Continue with a passkey" option?
If you are not seeing the "Continue with a passkey" option on the login page or when needing to authenticate to access protected details:
Are you on a desktop device? Passkeys are currently not available on mobile
Make sure you have set up passkeys via your My account page
Make sure you're using a supported browser
Using passkeys across devices
Can I use my passkey on multiple devices?
Yes, each passkey is tied to your unique device or password manager (for example, your Google account or iCloud Keychain). You can use your passkey on any device that is logged into the same password manager.
Can I use my passkey on my mobile device?
Passkeys are currently only supported on desktop browsers and are not yet available for mobile devices or our mobile app. To log into the mobile app, you will need to use your password and authenticate with MFA.
Can multiple staff members use passkeys on the same device?
Yes, if multiple people share a device (like a front desk computer), each person can add their own biometrics such as a fingerprint scan to access their own account.
To add multiple fingerprints to your device:
For Mac:
Go to (Apple menu) > System Settings > Touch ID & Password
Click Add Fingerprint > enter your Mac password
Follow prompts to scan your finger
Repeat for each additional person
For Windows:
Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options
Under Ways to sign in, select Fingerprint recognition (Windows Hello)
Click Set up (first time) or Add a finger / Add another finger (to add more)
Click Get started, enter your Windows PIN
Follow prompts to scan your finger
Repeat for each additional person
Can I still use my password and MFA after setting up passkeys?
Yes, you can still choose to log in with your email address and password instead of using the 'Continue with a passkey' option. If you choose this method, you will be prompted to enter your MFA passcode as normal.
This means you always have a backup way to access your account, especially when using mobile devices or if you encounter any issues with your passkey.
