Reservations with unmapped rates

How to identify, map, and prevent unmapped channel rates.

Updated yesterday

What happens when channel rates are unmapped?

When rates are not mapped in your platform to your channels, your rates and availability won't sync to the channels.

For reservations received for unmapped rates:

  • Reservations are still processed and available in your platform

  • Availability will not be be reduced/updated in your inventory

  • Reservations will not be delivered to your PMS/RMS/CRS, and they cannot be resent

  • For these reservations you must add them manually to your PMS/RMS/CRS

You'll receive a notification for these reservations in your platform notifications centre. To receive these notifications, turn on Distribution notifications in your notification settings.

Why mapping is important

Rates need to be mapped to:

  • Your channels

  • Your PMS/RMS/CRS (if connected to one)

Unmapped channel rates can lead to:

  • Incorrect availability, rates, and restrictions showing on your channels

  • Risk of overbooking due to availability not updating

  • Reservations failing to deliver to your PMS

  • Missed booking opportunities

⚠️ Important: If you recently enabled or mapped a channel rate, reservations created before you enabled the rate or mapping will not automatically sync (be re-sent) to your platform. You must add these reservations manually in your PMS.
