Booking engine banner

Why should I add a banner image?

Banners are valuable tools that can highlight your property's unique image and persuade potential guests to book. You can be creative and add an attractive photo of your property, the surrounding landscape, or even a promotional banner that displays a limited-time offer or special deal.

How do I add or change the banner image?

To set up or modify your direct booking engine banner, just follow these steps:

  1. Go to Direct booking > Configuration > Branding.

  2. Under the Booking engine banner, click on +Assign from Media library or the edit button to upload a different one. You can now:

    1. Browse and select an image from the ones you have already uploaded from your Media library, then click Assign.

    2. Drag and drop an image you have located on your device, then click Assign.

    3. Click on Upload a new image and select an image from your device, then click Assign.
💡 Your direct booking engine would look even better if your banner has similar or complementary colours to your brand colours.

  3. Once you are happy with the selected image, click on Publish changes. Your banner will instantly show on your direct booking engine.
💡 You can check how your direct booking engine looks after publishing any change by clicking the See live booking engine at the top right.

Colour theme

Why is it important to select a colour theme?

  • It reflects your property’s personality.
By choosing the right colour theme, your property can make a strong first impression on potential guests. For example:

    • If you advertise a luxury accommodation, you might want to use black or golden colour scales.

    • If your property is in a more rural setting, you might want to use warm colours inspired by nature.

  • It reinforces your brand.
Using a similar colour scheme to the one on your official website can create a sense of consistency. This will result in a better user experience for your guests and make it easier to identify your property and differentiate it from others. For example, if your property’s website and logo are orange and black, you might want to use a theme that complements these colours.

How do I add or change the colour theme?

You can select predefined colour combinations, or, if you are familiar with hexadecimal colour codes, use customised colour schemes by entering the codes.

💡Hexadecimal colour codes are the characters used to identify a specific colour in HTML. You can find the hexadecimal colour codes of many colours on the Internet. For example, let’s say that you would like to see the code for orange, then type "hexadecimal colour code orange" on any online search engine; you will get results showing you the hexadecimal colour code #FFA500.

  1. Go to Direct booking > Configuration > Branding.

  2. Beside Theme, click on the edit button. You can now:

    1. Choose one of the predefined colour themes.

    2. Customise your colour theme by doing one of the following:

      • Clicking on the first colour box and dragging your mouse over the colour palette until you are happy with the result.

      • Adding a hexadecimal colour code right next to the # symbol.

  3. If you have chosen a customised colour, click Select colour.
💡 The selected colour will work as the dominant colour, used for buttons and other important page elements.

  4. Press Publish changes.
💡 You can check how your direct booking engine looks after publishing any change by clicking the See live booking engine at the top right.
