To manage rates for your booking engine go to Direct booking rates, go to Direct booking > Rates. Use bulk actions to activate, suspend, or deactivate multiple rates at once.
Before you start
Before activating direct rates for your booking engine, ensure they are set up in Rooms and rates:
Room types: set up your room types including adding images and room descriptions
Rate plans: create rate plans and add additional direct booking controls
Activate rates (bulk activate)
To activate multiple direct rates for your booking engine:
Go to Direct booking > Rates.
Click the Inactive tab to view all direct rates not yet activated.
You can also use the Rate plans filter to filter your view to specific rate plans.
Tick the checkboxes next to the rate plans or individual room rates you want to activate.
Click the blue Activate rates button.
Click Activate rates.
Note: If any required room type or room rate details are missing, the tick box will be greyed out and you won't be able to select the rate for activation. The rate will show a Missing room rate details or Missing room type details label and you will be prompted to update the required details.
Need to activate a single rate?
To activate a single rate on your booking engine, simply tick one checkbox instead of multiple rates before clicking Activate rates. If any direct rate shows Missing room rate details or Missing room type details, you will need to update the rate with required details before it can be activated for your booking engine.
Edit direct rates / add additional settings
After activating direct rates, you can edit additional settings for each direct rate (such as occupancy, pricing, and direct booking controls such as discounts).
To edit a direct booking rate:
Go to Direct booking > Rates.
Click the Active tab to view activated direct rates.
Click on the ellipsis button (three dots) for the direct rate you want to update (the room rate), then click Edit.
Update required settings for the direct booking rate.
Click Save.
Note: Direct booking rate settings are inherited from the original room rate. To override specific settings for your booking engine, click the lock icon next to the field and enter the new value you want to set.
Suspend direct booking rates (bulk suspend)
Suspended direct rates are removed from your booking engine but remain available on your Direct booking > Rates page in the Active list with a blue Suspended label. You can reactivate them at any time without losing the configuration previously set up.
To suspend multiple direct rates:
Go to Direct booking > Rates.
Click the Active tab.
Use the Rate plans dropdown or checkboxes to select direct rates to suspend.
Click the Actions button and select Suspend rates.
Need to suspend a single rate? To suspend a single direct rate, click on the individual rate and click Suspend.
Reactivate suspended rates
To reactivate suspended direct rates:
Go to Direct booking > Rates.
Find the suspended rates.
Select the rates using checkboxes or the rate plans dropdown.
Click Activate rates.
Deactivate direct booking rates (bulk deactivate)
Deactivating a direct rate will remove it from your booking engine. If you want to activate it again in future, you will need to set up the rate configuration again (such as adding additional booking controls).
To deactivate multiple direct rates:
Go to Direct booking > Rates.
Click the Active tab.
Select direct rates using the Rate plans dropdown or individual checkboxes.
Click the Actions button and select Deactivate rates.
Click Deactivate rates.
Need to deactivate a single rate?
To deactivate a single direct rate, click on the individual rate and select Deactivate rate from the actions menu, then confirm when prompted. Deactivated direct rates are removed from your booking engine but remain available in your platform's Rooms and rates section and can be reactivated at any time.
