About the booking performance report

To access the Booking performance report, go to Insights > Booking performance.

The booking performance report gives you access to performance data for your property. Gain insights into which rooms, rates, channels, and source markets are generating the most reservations.

Note:

  • Your Property data is sourced from bookings received through all your connected channels, including Direct booking.

  • Some channels do not record the reservation revenue on a reservation. These reservations are still included in the booking performance report, but they are excluded from the ADR calculation.

  • If you receive reservations in multiple currencies, these reservations are converted to what your default currency was on the booked-on date. Our currency conversion rate is based on xe.com.

Booking Insights

At the top of the booking performance report, view a performance summary (Booking insights) for your property, that includes the following data:

  • Room revenue — the total room revenue (excluding extras).

  • Total revenue — the total reservation revenue (including extras). Note that total revenue data will not show when the report is filtered by Stay date.

  • Reservations (after cancellations) — the total number of reservations, excluding any cancellations.

  • Room nights — the total number of room nights sold. Note that when the report is filtered by Stay date using the“Show performance by” filter, then the room nights in the calculation will be for the selected stay date period only.

Room nights include reservations that have no revenue recorded. (For example, a booking might not have any recorded revenue when a guest uses loyalty points from reward programs.)

  • Avg. lead time — how many days in advance, on average, rooms are booked before the check-in date. (The total lead time divided by the total number of reservations.)

  • Avg. daily rate (ADR) — the average revenue earned for an occupied room, per day. Calculated by the total revenue divided by the number of room nights.

Note that ADR excludes reservations with no recorded revenue. (For example, a booking might not have any recorded revenue when a guest uses loyalty points from reward programs.)

  • Avg. length of stay (ALOS) — the average length of stay. Calculated by the total length of stay divided by the total number of reservations.

Note that when the report is filtered by Stay date using the“Show performance by” filter, the room nights in the calculation will be for the selected period only, however, ALOS is not restricted to the selected period, and will use the reservation’s full length of stay.

  • Cancelled reservations — the number of cancelled reservations.

The booking performance report defaults to showing you performance data for the last month to date. View booking performance based on booked-on-date or stay date.
