Third-party payment gateways that can be integrated with your SiteMinder booking engine to process reservation payments.

Updated over 2 months ago

Important to know:

  • SiteMinder Pay is our official payment gateway for the SiteMinder platform. If SiteMinder Pay is not available in your country, you can enable a third-party payment gateway to use with SiteMinder’s booking engine.

  • To set up a payment gateway, go to Payments.

If SiteMinder Pay is not available in your country, you can integrate a third-party payment gateway (via the Payments page) with your SiteMinder booking engine in order to take deposits and reservation payments for your direct booking reservations. The third-party payment gateways available are:

  • AsiaPay — including PayDollar, PesoPay, and SiamPay.

  • PayPal

  • Paystack

How to activate a third-party payment gateway

You must be an Admin user to activate Payments. To activate a third-party payment gateway:

  1. Go to Payments.

  2. Click Activate now.

  3. Enter the credentials to connect to your third-party account (for example, PayPal or PayStack). Or, if you don’t have an account, you will need to sign up for an account on their direct website.

  4. Click on Save gateway.

For queries about third-party payment gateways, please contact the third- party’s support team.

AsiaPay

AsiaPay offers three payment gateways:

  • PayDollar — available in Hong Kong, China, India, Indonesia, Macau, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

  • PesoPay — available in the Philippines.

  • SiamPay — available in Thailand.

💡Note:

To set up AsiaPay as your payment gateway, you must have an an AsiaPay account. To link AsiaPay to your SiteMinder booking engine, you will need to enter the following details found in AsiaPay’s extranet:

  • Merchant ID

  • Secure Hash Code

  • Merchant API login ID — not the same as the login ID to access AsiaPay.

  • Merchant API password — not the same as the password to access AsiaPay.

To integrate AsiaPay, you will also need to send a request to AsiaPay Support asking them to change the data feed URL under your merchant account to the following: https://quokka-apac.siteminder.systems/payments-api/api/datafeed/asia-pay

AsiaPay’s payment methods

After integrating AsiaPay, your SiteMinder booking engine will be able to accept the following payments:

  • Credit card transactions.

  • e-wallet transactions, such as AliPay, WeChat Pay and LinePay.

⚠️ SiteMinder does not support over-the-counter transactions (for SiamPay and PesoPay). We recommend that you disable this transaction type in AsiaPay’s extranet.

PayPal

PayPal is one of the most popular payment gateways in the world, giving customers the choice to pay using PayPal, PayPal Credit, credit cards, debit cards, and various other options.

Before setting up PayPal as your payment gateway, register for a PayPal Business account

Paystack

Paystack accepts a range of payment options, and is available in South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, and Ghana. In order to set up Paystack as your payment gateway, you need a Paystack account.

The payment options available with Paystack are credit cards and debit cards.

Once you have enabled Paystack, you must also configure the webhook on your Paystack dashboard — otherwise, you may not get notified when a payment is made, which could lead to overbookings.

Go to Settings > API Keys & Webhooks and update the webhook URL to one of the below URLs:

💡To find your Booking Engine URL, go to Direct booking > Configuration > Guest display options > Booking Engine URL tab.
