The Payment terminal is available with SiteMinder Pay. To access the Payment terminal, go to Payments > Payment terminal tab.
About the Payment terminal
The Payment terminal is a feature available with SiteMinder Pay that enables you to take manual payments from guests (via a web browser). This is useful to take payments walk-ins, extras (such as food, beverages, activities and merchandise) and other one-off payments. The Payment terminal accepts all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
When you process a payment, taxes and promotions are not included, so you must apply them to the charges yourself. There are no additional fees for using the Payment terminal; however, transaction fees apply as per your SiteMinder Pay agreement.
Take a manual payment with the Payment terminal
To take a manual payment with the Payment terminal:
Go to Payments > Payment terminal tab.
Enter the payment details, including the Description, Amount and Surcharge, and the credit card details.
Check that the details and the Total amount to charge are all correct.
Click on Process payment to proceed, or on Clear form to start over.
Note:
To view processed payments and their details, process a refund, or generate a payment or refund confirmation, go to Payments > Transactions tab.
Guests’ credit card details will be deleted 7 days after check-out.
