You must be subscribed to SiteMinder Plus to access the rate parity report. To access the rate parity report, go to the Insights tab > Rate parity.

About the rate parity report

Use the rate parity report to view your rates across five leading OTAs and SiteMinder’s Direct booking. Easily spot differences between your direct rate and applicable connected channels (OTAs). The rate parity report shows your rates as displayed on your property listings across the following connected channels:

  • Agoda

  • Booking.com

  • Expedia

  • HRS

  • Traveloka

  • Direct Booking

To manage your channel data sources, in the Rate parity report, click on Channel data sources at the top right of the page.

Maintaining consistent pricing across all distribution channels, including your direct booking website, is important because:

  • Keeping your prices consistent across all booking channels helps earn guests’ trust and loyalty. It keeps your pricing fair and provides guests with a smooth booking experience.

  • Rate parity is included in most OTA agreements — room rates should be the same across all booking channels. Inconsistent rates may affect your property’s ranking on the OTA.

View your rates across channels using the rate parity report

Your rate for each connected channel (Agoda, Booking.com, Expedia, HRS, Traveloka, and Direct Booking) will be shown in the report’s table. Click on a cell within the table to view the following:

  • The rate’s room type.

  • When the rate was last updated in the report.

  • The rate’s currency.

  • The rate’s tax settings (base rate or inclusive).

Filter the rate parity report

Use the report’s filters at the top of the report to view rate parity data by:

  • Stay date.

  • Nights — number of nights (1 - 7).

  • Guests — number of guests in the rate (1 or 2).

  • Tax setting — to switch between base rates and fully inclusive rates, click on the Tax toggle. Fully inclusive rates include all taxes and fees listed separately from the room rate.

Rate parity data showing MLOS, SOLD, N/A or blank cells

If a date in the rate parity report is showing MLOS, SOLD, N/A, or is blank “-”, here is what it means:

  • MLOS — there is a minimum length of stay restriction applied.

  • SOLD — there is no availability at your property on a particular date.

  • N/A – your property may not have a room available for the filter selection you have applied, in which case the rates grid will display "N/A" for that date.

  • Blank (a dash) “-” — if a cell is blank with a dash (“-”), click the Refresh button. If after refreshing, rates still do not display, or you are seeing "SOLD" or "N/A", check your property’s availability on the channel's extranet.

To manually refresh the rates in the rate parity report, click the Refresh button.

Refreshing rates will time out after approximately two minutes — to try and retrieve the unloaded rates, click on the Refresh button again.
