Ensure your Guest Engagement messages reach Expedia guests

Enable Guest Engagement messages to be sent to Expedia guests.

Updated this week

Guest Engagement helps you communicate with guests before and after their stay. To ensure your Expedia guests receive the messages you send via Guest Engagement, you'll need to authorise your email addresses in Expedia.

How Expedia bookings work with Guest Engagement comunications

When guests book through Expedia, there are two scenarios:

  • When guests pay at your property, you should receive the guests email address.

  • When guests pay via Expedia, Expedia uses a masked email address (for example, 7dn0rm8ctn@m.expediapartnercentral.com). Guest Engagement messages will not be delivered to guests with a masked address.

To ensure Guest Engagement emails reach all your guests, including those who pay via Expedia, you need to add your Guest Engagement email addresses to Expedia's authorised email list.

Add your email addresses in Expedia Partner Central

To allow your Guest Engagement messages to reach your Expedia guests:

  1. Log in to Expedia Partner Central.

  2. Go to Guest Relations.

  3. Click Message Centre.

  4. Click Settings.

  5. Add the email addresses your property uses in Guest Engagement as Authorised email addresses. These are your email addresses in Guest Engagement > Communication > Settings > click the Configure button on the Email tile.
