  • The report sources its data from your connected booking channel(s); if you are not connected to any, no rates information will be displayed in the report.

Why the rate parity report is useful

The rate parity report compares your room rates on your booking channel(s) and booking engine to help spot discrepancies, which, as explained below, can be damaging to your property’s business.

  • If the rates on your direct booking engine are lower than those on your channel(s), it may cause a breach of contract with the channel(s).

  • If the rates on your booking engine are higher than those on your channel(s), it may discourage guests from booking with you directly — and direct bookings can be more profitable than channel bookings because they do not incur commission fees.

  • If there are rate discrepancies on your channel(s), it may affect your property's ranking on the channel(s).

💡 Only properties connected to the direct booking engine can access the rate parity report.

To switch between base rates and fully inclusive rates, click on the Includes tax toggle.

💡 Fully inclusive rates include all taxes and fees listed separately from the room rate.

Refresh rates

To refresh the rates in the rate parity report, follow the steps below.

  1. Select the desired two-week date range and click on the Refresh rates button.

  2. A grey progress bar will appear below each rate in the grid — this means that the refresh is in progress.

  3. Once a rate is successfully refreshed, the grey progress bar will turn green and disappear.

⚠️ Note:

  • If a rate cannot be refreshed, the progress bar will turn red.

  • Refreshing rates will time out after approximately two minutes — to try and retrieve the unloaded rates, click on the Refresh rates button again.

Frequently asked questions

What does the "SOLD" message mean?

Either:

  • there is no availability at your property on a particular date;

  • or there is a minimum stay restriction applied.

What does the "N/A" message mean?

In some instances, your property may not have a room available for the filter selection you have applied, in which case the rates grid will display "N/A" for that date.

Why are rates not appearing for my channels?

Refresh the rates again — if you still cannot see them, or the "SOLD" or "N/A" messages are still displayed,, check your property’s availability on the affected channel's extranet.
