When you create your website with Website Builder, the website will use cookies to store visitor information. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you must get consent from visitors about cookie usage to protect data privacy, especially for visitors from the European Union (EU).

The cookie consent banner is a notification that asks visitors to accept your website's use of cookies. When you enable this feature, visitors will need to accept the cookie consent before continuing to browse. Once accepted, they won't see the message again for 30 days unless they clear their cookies.

If your website isn’t publishing correctly, or your changes won’t go live online, check whether cookie consent is enabled but has no cookie policy page linked. When the Enable cookie consent widget? toggle is on but no cookie policy page is linked — because the linked page was deleted or disabled, or none has been selected — your website content will not publish.

To check, go to Advanced settings > Cookie consent and see whether the Enable cookie consent widget? toggle is on and a cookie policy page is selected. Resolve it in one of two ways.

If you do not have a cookie policy page, click Create one as a custom page and add your policy content first.
