The Meta pixel is an analytics tool that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your advertising by understanding the actions visitors take on your booking engine.
💡 Before integrating with your booking engine, you must create a new Meta pixel from your Ads manager. Please follow this guide from Meta, and make a copy of the Meta pixel code that is produced.
How to Set Up Meta Pixel Integration
To integrate Meta Pixel Conversion Tracking with your booking engine:
Go to Direct booking > Configuration > Plug-in apps.
Find Meta Pixel Conversion Tracking and click on it.
Fill in the required credentials including your property’s Meta Pixel ID (this is a code provided by Meta).
Click Enable.
Your conversions will be tracked by the Meta pixel once you have placed ads in the Meta platform.
How Meta Pixel Works with Direct Booking
The Meta pixel integration is specifically designed for conversion tracking on your booking engine. It is added to the confirmation page of the booking engine to track an event when a reservation is made.
Cookie Consent Required: For the pixel to work properly, guests must accept cookie consent for statistics & marketing
Note: it does not track traffic to your website, as it is only integrated with the confirmation page when a reservation is made.
