Manage your Booking Engine's extras

💡 Important to know:

  • In our platform, extras are specifically created for your Booking Engine.

  • Your channels may have extras on their side — these are not managed through our platform.

  • For more information about a channel’s extras, contact the channel’s support team.

  • To manage your Booking Engine’s extras, go to Direct booking > Extras.

Navigate your Booking Engine's extras

The Extras tab (Direct booking > Extras) features the following filters and buttons:

  • Add extra — create a new extra.

  • Search extra by name — find a specific extra by entering a search term.

  • Expand all — expand all of your extras’ details. (After clicking on it, this button transforms into Collapse all, which hides all of the expanded details.)

  • Reorder extras — drag and drop to rearrange the order of your extras.

  • Down arrow (⌄) button — expand the details of a specific promotion code.

  • Ellipsis button (…) — open an Actions menu with the following options: Edit, Assign, Duplicate, and Delete.

View your Booking Engine's extras details

By default, the Extras tab features minimal information. To view your extras in more detail, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Direct booking > Extras.

  2. Click on one of the following options:

    • Down arrow (⌄) — view the details of a specific extra.

    • Expand all — show the details of all extras.

Each extra features the following:

  • Extra name — the name on display for your guests, for example “Airport transfer”, “Breakfast”, or “Massage”.

  • Adult price — the price charged per adult for this extra.

  • Child price — the price charged per child for this extra.

  • Description — a description of the extra (which is written by you and visible to customers on your Booking Engine).

  • Taxes and services charges included — taxes or services charges applied to the extra.

  • Mandatory extra — if the extra is mandatory when booking the room rate.

  • Availability — the stay dates that apply to the extra.

  • Assigned to room rates — the room rates the extra is assigned to.

  • Media — the images assigned to the extra.

💡 Note:

  • If an extra has Availability for selected dates only that are in the past (in other words, expired dates), it will not be bookable.

Reorder your extras

  1. Go to Direct booking > Extras.

  2. Click on the Reorder extras button at the top right.

  3. Locate and drag and drop an extra to rearrange its order.

  4. Click Save.

💡 Reorder extras to determine the order in which they appear on your Booking Engine.

Manage an extra

  1. Go to Direct booking > Extras.

  2. Locate the extra and click on its ellipsis button (...).

  3. From the Actions menu, click on one of the following options:

    • Edit — update the extra’s details.

    • Assign — select the room rates the extra will be assigned to.

    • Duplicate — duplicate the extra (you will need to assign it a new name).

    • Delete — delete the extra.

⚠️ Note:

  • Deleting an extra cannot be undone. This action will permanently delete the extra from its assigned room rates and your Booking Engine.

  • You can also delete an extra from the Actions menu by clicking on Edit , scrolling to the bottom, clicking on Delete extra , and confirming by clicking on Delete.
